Stop Corrosion Before It Starts
With Our E-CTFE, ETFE, PFA and Ruby Red Corrosion Protection Coatings

Industrial coatings based on corrosion-resistant fluoroplastics extend the service life of metal components by providing chemical protection and protecting against corrosive elements in the operating environment.

Effective corrosion protection for your need

LubriCoat NA’s industry-leading capabilities enable it to apply corrosion protection coatings to a huge range of components –up to 2 tons in weight and up to 11,81 x 6,89 x 6,89 feet in size. Coatings can be applied manually or automatically and in a strictly controlled environment conditions. We meet international standards such as NORSOK (which sets safety and value-added practices for the gas and petroleum industry).

We offer these fluoroplastic coatings:

  • E-CTFE (Halar®)
  • ETFE
  • PFA
  • Ruby Red®
  • Epoxides or non-fluorinated plastics such as polyamide, polyethylene or PEEK

Consult with our experts on which coating is best suited to your specific process.

E-CTFE /Halar® coatings

These corrosion protection coatings guard against a wide array of harsh chemicals like organic solvents, strong acids, chlorine, and aqueous caustics - making them ideal for vessels and process equipment for demanding fields like the petrochemical and paper industries. They resist nitric acid, ozone, hydrogen peroxide, sulfuric acid, hydrofluoric acid, ammonium hydroxide and a host of other chemicals.

E-CTFE/Halar® coatings also have excellent electrical properties and provide strength, a broad-use temperature range, and outstanding abrasion resistance.

ETFE coatings

These corrosion protection coatings protect across a range of temperatures (-150ºF/-100ºC to 300ºF/150ºC), making it suitable for use in a wide variety of chemical processing applications. Its chemical inertness is similar to that of PTFE and other fluoropolymers, and it has excellent mechanical strength and abrasion resistance.

The enhanced strength is a plus in processing applications where frequent physical impact or contact with abrasive materials exacerbates the degradation of traditional fluoropolymers.

PFA Coatings

PFA corrosion resistant coatings give excellent protection against aggresive chemicals and corrosive environments, while offering excellent nonsstick. They have high electrical and impact resistance, even at their high continuous use temperature (260˚C/500˚F), and are tougher than PTFE and FEP.

PFA coatings are used in cookware and bakeware manufacturing (they‘re FDA-compliant) and for chemical vessels, pipework systems, agitators, reactors and semiconductor ductwork.

Raising the bar with Ruby Red® coatings

Ruby Red® corrosion protection coatings are in a class by themselves for multifunctionality.

  • Provide unmatched chemical protection.
  • Protect against a wide range of acid and alkaline.
  • Add nonstick properties.
  • Resist temperatures up to 500°F (260°C).

All in a relatively thin layer starting at a thickness of 300 micrometers.

Ruby Red® coatings are ideal for:

  • Chemical processing –pumps, tanks, valves, impellers and vessel coating
  • Metal finishing – coating heating coils and plating racks in electroplating baths
  • Semiconductor - coating ducts, wafer carriers, chemical vessels and racks
